The AZTech™ ATIS (Advanced Traveler Information Systems) Working Group also works under the direction of the AZTech Executive Committee. This public/private partnership group consists of representatives from the fields of transportation, telecommunications, emergency response, public safety, and other travel data users. Its purpose is to improve the quality, accessibility, and timeliness of the traveler information offered to the public in order to increase safety and mobility in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The committee is co-chaired by representatives from ADOT and MCDOT. Members utilize this committee to develop new ways to disseminate quality and timely traveler information, coordinate delivery methods between both public and private media outlets, and to serve as a communication channel for new traveler information research.
