Past Summits:

On June 9, 2006, the Arizona Broadcasters Association (ABA) and AZTechT partnered to host a workshop intended to serve as an inaugural annual interchange of ideas to improve communication among media, transportation agencies, public safety, and publication information officers to improve cooperation and understanding of the issues and challenges of providing accurate, up-to-date travel and traffic information to better serve the traveling public.

The workshop is dedicated to determining the issues, gaps and information needs associated with traveler information dissemination in Maricopa County. The meeting was attended by representatives from the following diverse groups:

  1. Transportation agencies from Local, County, State, and Federal, jurisdictions (streets, planning, safety, IT, PIO / media relations / marketing)
  2. Public Safety
  3. Emergency Management
  4. Media – Print, Radio and Television
